System Integrators are looking for ease of installation whilst offering simplicity in terms of the concept for IBS (Integrated Bridge Systems – Navigation/Alarm Monitoring) to be achieved. Generally Superyacht’s over 3,000 GST or those designed to carrying over 12 passengers are considered commercial vessels and therefore subject to Approvals… At this juncture vessels generally achieve INS (Integrated Navigation System) however a true IBS is very much a goal.
Captains are looking to adopt cutting edge design features and enhanced technology whilst incorporating functionality in terms of ergonomics and operational practicality.
